Studio to Street: How We Think About Pilates Style
Pilates makes an odd demand of clothing: you need fabric that moves freely on the reformer, but doesn't look like technical gym gear the moment you step out of the studio.
What we look for in a Pilates piece
- A waistband that doesn't roll down when you fold forward on the reformer or mat.
- A relaxed cut, not a tight one — Pilates is about control, not maximum compression.
- Fabric that holds up to repeated contact with the floor or equipment without losing shape.
- A silhouette that goes straight from the studio to coffee after, without reading as "gear."
Why the wide-leg pants matter
The Pilates Club collection is built on exactly this principle — the mocha wide-leg pants have a legging's flexibility with a regular trouser's silhouette. You don't change out of them when you leave the studio — you just keep going with your day.
It's not a coincidence that the most common comment we get on these pieces is "I wear them outside the studio too."
